No Shell · Long And Loaded
$54.00

A long compression short with no shell over it. Compression Short at sunrise on the track

Long Runs.
Loaded Pockets.

Every other short we make has a shell. This one does not. One layer, cut long, with pockets on the thigh sized for the things you actually carry. It is the pair for the morning you are going further than usual and taking something with you.

Every Detail Has A Job

Nothing To
Work Around.

Side on in the water, thigh pocket and mark
01

Nothing Bounces

The pockets sit on the thigh, held flat against the leg by the compression itself rather than hanging off a waistband. One reviewer put it best: his phone and his gels do not move at all.

02

No Shell To Fight

Every other short we make has an outer layer over a liner. This has neither, because at distance the two layers are what start rubbing. One layer, flatlock seams, and the review that comes back every time is no chafing.

03

Reflective At The Hem

Placed low, where a car actually catches it. If your long run starts before the sun does, this is the pair that gets seen without a vest over the top.

04

Cut Long On Purpose

Long enough to stop the ride up that ends most compression shorts at mile six, and to sit under a ruck belt without the waistband and the belt competing for the same inch of hip.

The Long Stuff

Reviewers name running, rucking and leg day. The common thread is time under tension rather than intensity, which is exactly what a compression cut is for.

Seven Reviews.
Five Stars.

A small number and every one of them is five. Runners, ruckers and one first time biker short buyer. Including the customer who wants more gel slots, which is a fair ask and one we have not solved yet.

Questions, Answered

How long is it?
INSEAM TODO. Add the measurement before this page is public. It is cut long, above the knee, and the length is the point: it is what stops the ride up that ends most compression shorts partway through a long run.
Will a phone actually stay put?
Yes, and this is the thing reviewers bring up first. The pockets sit on the thigh and the compression holds them flat against the leg, so a phone and gels do not swing. One customer put it as plainly as it can be put: they do not move at all.
How many gels does it hold?
Fewer than a long day needs, and we know it. A reviewer asked for multiple gel slots and he is right to. Right now the thigh pocket takes a phone plus a couple of gels comfortably. If you are running long enough to need six, carry a belt over the top for now. It is on the list for the next run.
Does it chafe?
Not according to anyone who has reviewed it. There is no shell over a liner here, which removes the two layers that usually start rubbing at distance, and the seams are flatlock. Every review that mentions chafing mentions the absence of it.
Can I ruck in it?
Customers do. The waistband is wide and flat with no drawcord, so it sits under a ruck belt without a knot or a cord fighting the belt for the same inch of hip.
How do they fit?
Compression, so snug by design. For reference, our model is 6'1" and 212 lb with a 32 to 34 inch waist, and he wears a Large. Note this short runs S through XL only, with no XXL.
Why is my size sold out?
This one is down to S. Leave your email on the size you want and it goes on the list with the size attached, which is genuinely what decides how the next run gets cut. If you need something today, the shorts at the bottom of this page all have stock.
