Protein Peppermint Chip Milkshake

Thanksgiving is over, and that means move over pumpkin! It’s time for all things peppermint. Let us be very clear, there are a million ways to make this recipe. There’s the macro-friendlier version, the macro-not-as-friendly version, and all versions in between. We will give the macro-friendly version and then offer additional ingredients to make this for people who aren’t as concerned with their macro count. All versions are incredibly delicious, so don’t think that the macro-friendly recipe skimps on taste. It’s got our whey protein in it so you already know it’s going to be delicious.


  • 1 scoop ACTN Vanilla Whey Protein (can also use the Chocolate Milk flavor for a more chocolatey milkshake!)

  • 8 oz. Almond milk

  • Ice

  • 5 drops Peppermint Extract

  • 1/2 cup Vanilla Greek Yogurt or frozen banana (for thickness/creaminess)

  • Optional Ingredients: Vanilla Ice Cream (instead of greek yogurt or banana), Candy Cane, Crushed Oreos, Dark Chocolate Chips, Whipped Cream, Maraschino Cherries, Chocolate Syrup.


  1. This one is not super complicated… add all ingredients to blender and blend! We will give a couple tips. If you’re adding Oreo and a Candy Cane, crush them in a plastic baggy before adding them to the blender and gently folding into the blended milkshake. We loved the little chunks of Oreo and Candy Cane in the shake instead of it being blended in.

  2. Top with whipped cream, cherries and chocolate syrup for a delicious but protein-packed treat!
